This privacy policy explains how BirthDoulaTrainer.com collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to this site and people who submit project briefs through the contact form.

This site is operated by Robin Elise Weiss. If you have questions about this policy or how your data is handled, email robin@robineliseweiss.com.

1. Information I collect

Information you provide directly

When you submit a project brief through the contact form, you may provide:

  • Your name
  • Your role or title
  • Your organization name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Information about your project, population, funding, timeline, and budget
  • Any additional information you choose to share

I only collect information that you voluntarily submit.

Information collected automatically

When you visit this site, certain information is collected automatically, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages visited and time on each page, referring website, and general geographic location at the country and region level. This information is used in aggregate to understand site usage and improve the visitor experience.

2. How I use the information

I use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your project brief
  • Send proposal documents and follow-up communication related to your inquiry
  • Maintain a working record of our conversation if you become a client
  • Improve the site and its content

I do not use your information to send unsolicited marketing. I do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Where your information is stored

Airtable, Inc. Project briefs submitted through the contact form are processed by and stored in an Airtable database. Airtable is the customer relationship management system I use to track institutional inquiries. Only I have access to this base. Airtable’s privacy practices are described at airtable.com/privacy.

Email service. Email communication with you is handled through my email provider. Email is the primary channel for follow-up after you submit a brief.

Hosting provider. This site is hosted with a third-party WordPress hosting provider. Server logs may include the automatically-collected information described above.

Google Fonts. The site loads the Cormorant Garamond and Atkinson Hyperlegible typefaces from Google’s content delivery network. Loading these fonts may transmit your IP address to Google. You can read Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. How long I keep your information

I retain project brief submissions and related correspondence as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if applicable, deliver any contracted work, plus an additional period for legal, tax, and business record purposes.

If you ask me to delete your information from my records, I will do so within thirty days unless I am required to retain it for legal, contractual, or tax reasons. To request deletion, email robin@robineliseweiss.com.

5. Sharing your information

I do not sell your information. I share your information only as necessary to operate the site and respond to your inquiry, including with the service providers listed above; to comply with applicable law or respond to lawful legal process; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of myself, my clients, or others.

If I ever change ownership of this site or business, your information may be transferred as part of that change. You will be notified in advance if a change like this would affect your data.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the information I have about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to certain processing
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
  • Opt out of analytics tracking

For EU and UK residents

The General Data Protection Regulation and UK GDPR give EU and UK residents specific rights regarding personal data. The legal basis for processing your information is your consent (when you submit a form) and my legitimate interest in operating this site and responding to inquiries.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and aggregate analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use the site or submit a project brief.

8. Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adult institutional buyers. I do not knowingly collect information from children under thirteen. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, email robin@robineliseweiss.com and I will delete it.

9. Third-party links

This site may link to other websites and to PDF resources hosted by third parties. I am not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

10. Security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information in my custody using the security features of the service providers listed above. No method of transmission or storage on the internet is fully secure, however, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Updates to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The Effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page or, when I have your email address on file, by email.
